I stayed at Hotel Coroana for a short visit to explore the historical attractions. The hotel's perfect location in the center of Brasov made it easy to access the pedestrian zone and all the landmarks. Despite being an old hotel, it was suitable for my needs and not too loud. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast at the festival 38 bar/restaurant was exceptional value.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location - which is why we booked it - after having seen reviews on Booked.net. Right on the central drag, we had room 307 which had a balcony and a magnificent view over str republica and brasov. Suggest requesting this or rooms 306 or 308 which have the same outlook. Breakfast was in their festival 38 bar/restaurant which has 20's/30's style decor and is just lovely. We could choose anything from their standard breakfast menu that people who walk in off the street order from. This makes its exceptional value. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel has seen its day and so some bits a bit dated and we did not have hot water during our stay (which we would have reported if we had stayed longer)...but all this is representative of the fact its a 2-star and not expensive for its location. perfectly clean and comfortable and excellent value for money given location and breakfast (two things you can pay a lot for on the tourist track)

The location is good to see the city center.
The hotel badly needs a complete inside renovation and refurbishment of all the facilities including the rooms.Seemingly, the hotel has been used for over a hundred years without any serious improvement, the corridors are decorated of cheap paper pictures from the communist era.The elevator is manually operated minimum 50 years old. The short connecting corridor between the main lobby and the restaurant resembled to a mine shaft. However, the the restaurant still tries to give a glance to the better days of yore.

The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable. Situated on the famous pedestrian street, it's like staying on the red carpet of a glamorous event. The hotel itself is a historical gem, with the Baroque and Art Nouveau styles giving it an elegant charm that is truly timeless. From the moment you step into the front-desk area adorned with marble elements, you can't help but feel like a VIP. And the best part? The hotel is managed by a professional host, ensuring a seamless stay.
Staff's lack of information.

Great value and location for a single traveler. The bed was nice and the water pressure was great. The room was clean and the breakfast included was a bonus. The front desk was helpful in adjusting the room temperature. I highly recommend this hotel for the affordable price and convenient location.

Excellent location in the centre of the old town - could literally walk out of the hotel straight into the street cafe scene. Huge, clean and well appointed bed room but no plugs provided for the sink and bath wastes
Some noise by merry revellers late at night. Hotel is looking a bit tired in parts. New carpets in the public areas would help lift it's image. A good breakfast is served in their adjacent attractive cafe but we were a little surprised (and disappointed) to be charged an extra 1 Lei (18p) for a second little plastic tub of jam and considerable more for a coffee refill.

the location is perfect, right in the pedestrian zone and within walking distance of all the main attractions. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. the restaurant was also a highlight, offering a plentiful breakfast and a relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend Coroana for its perfect central location and historic charm. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like about my stay. 😊.

I had the most mind-blowing stay at this hotel! The location is jaw-dropping, right in the heart of the city. The staff were super friendly and helped us with tours and even fixed a problem in our shower. The breakfast room was absolutely fabulous, with a jazz atmosphere that made me feel like I was in a movie from 1910. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. The breakfast itself was really good, and the staff were always available to assist. While the rooms had an old-style charm, they were in need of some updating and attention. However, the large size of the room made up for it. The only downside was the small TV and lack of internet in the room, which my son didn't appreciate. I also appreciated the central heating, non-smoking rooms, and the fact that cots were available upon request. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Stayed in a hotel that looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 1800s, but hey, it's charming, right? Great location in the noisiest street ever, just what I needed for a good night's sleep. Café with intermittent wifi is a bonus.
Not a fan of the old, dated furniture and questionable cleanliness. Bathrooms could use some improvement too.
